Background

The application seeks approval for a liquor store and drive through bottle shop. The drive through area would be adjacent to the existing parking area for the Serpentine Falls Tavern located on the western portion of the site. The proposed facility will accommodate the following specific elements:

• A 169.5m2 bottle-shop including sales area, cool room, dry-store room and amenities facility.

• A 3.1m wide drive-through service lane connecting from the Shire’s laneway to the existing car park area.

• An existing parking area with five parking bays.

• An existing waste storage area with two x 3m3 waste

Background

The application seeks approval for a liquor store and drive through bottle shop. The drive through area would be adjacent to the existing parking area for the Serpentine Falls Tavern located on the western portion of the site. The proposed facility will accommodate the following specific elements:

• A 169.5m2 bottle-shop including sales area, cool room, dry-store room and amenities facility.

• A 3.1m wide drive-through service lane connecting from the Shire’s laneway to the existing car park area.

• An existing parking area with five parking bays.

• An existing waste storage area with two x 3m3 waste storage bins, to be enclosed and screened from view.

• A new footpath crossover through the existing garden bed between Richardson Street and the proposed entrance to the liquor store.

• Upgraded landscaping beds within the existing areas surrounding the proposed development.

• Operation hours would be 10:00am to 8:00pm on Monday to Saturday and 10:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday.

• No more than two staff members at any one time, excluding occasional deliveries.

• Deliveries would occur Monday to Friday out of peak hours, not before 7:00am and not after 8:00pm.
