Why is the Shire updating the Urban and Rural Forest Strategy?
The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is the highest-growth local government in Western Australia. This means that trees and vegetation are often lost to development. Trees and vegetation provide a wide variety of important environmental, social and economic services to the community. The Shire is committed to protecting and enhancing tree canopy and vegetation coverage in its communities.

Who will make a final decision on the Strategy?
Following community feedback, the updated Strategy will be presented to Council for adoption.
