Proposed Differential Rate Categories

For the 2025/26 Budget, the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is proposing to adopt the following differential rate categories:

  • GRV Residential
  • GRV Commercial / Industrial
  • UV General
  • UV Intensive Farmland
  • UV Rural Residential
  • UV Commercial / Industrial

The overall objective of the proposed rates in the 2025/26 is to provide for the net funding requirements of the Shire’s services, activities, financing costs and the current and future capital requirements of the Shire, after taking into account all other forms of revenue.

After reviewing the Statement of Rating Objectives and Reasons for the 2025/26 Rating Year, you are invited to make a submission. Information on making a submission is outlined below.




Making a Submission

Submissions on the Shire’s proposed 2025/26 Differential Rates may be lodged by one of the following ways:

  • Completing an online form below
  • Email your feedback to info@sjshire.wa.gov.au stating: 2025/26 Differential Rates submission
  • A written submission, submitted by mail or in person to 6 Paterson Street, Mundijong, stating 2025/26 Differential Rates submission

Submissions close 5pm, Monday 16 June 2025.

    Submissions received will be reviewed and considered by Shire officers. 

    All submissions will be included as an attachment in a future report to Council where they will consider the draft 2025/26 Budget.
