What is the zoning of the subject site?

    The subject site is zoned ‘Urban Development’ under the Shire’s Town Planning Scheme No.2 and the Draft Local Planning Scheme No.3. The site is designated ‘Special Use’ under the Byford District Structure Plan which sets out development provisions for the lot. The proposed land uses can be considered in accordance with the Structure Plan.

    The Shire is required to engage the community in accordance with Local Planning Policy 1.4 – Public Consultation for Planning Matters (LPP1.4).

    Who will make the final decision on this application?

    The determination of applications for development approval must align with the Shire’s Register of Delegations and Authorisations as endorsed by Council. Determination of the application would be in accordance with delegated authority 12.1.1. The Register is available on the Shire’s website.
