The Shire has received a development application to amend the design of an approved Place of Public Worship at Lot 7, Kargotich Road in Oldbury.

The Place of Public Worship was originally approved in 2016. In 2018 approval was granted for an amendment to the design and to extend the commencement

Background

The Shire has received a development application to amend the design of an approved Place of Public Worship at Lot 7, Kargotich Road in Oldbury.

The Place of Public Worship was originally approved in 2016. In 2018 approval was granted for an amendment to the design and to extend the commencement timeframe.

The current proposal seeks development approval to amend the design of the meditation hall and lunch hall. Comments are sought for this proposal.

Specifically the applicant is seeking to amend the roof structure and associated wall height of the Meditation Hall and Lunch Hall to be more representative of Sikh Architecture, inclusive of traditional domes within the roof structure of the Meditation Hall that are to be constructed of brick.
