Background

The Shire has received a development application for a Child Minding Centre at Lot 102 (13) and Lot 103 (15) Beenyup Road, Byford.

The development application seeks approval for a single storey building with landscaped outdoor play spaces and car parking.

The proposal entails the following features:

  • A maximum of 100 children, comprising of 40 children less than 24 months old, 20 children aged between 24 to 36 months and 40 children aged over 36 months;
  • A maximum of 20 staff members at full capacity;
  • Operation hours are proposed between 6.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday; and
  • A 22-bay car parking area, inclusive of one universal access bay and turn around area.
