The development application seeks approval for a swimming pool and gym facility (‘private recreation’) at Lots 29-33 Mead Street/Covenant Lane, Byford (Glades Village Centre). The proposal comprises of a

  • single storey building with a gross internal floor area of (865.4m2)
  • 14 car parking bays for staff and visitors have been provided onsite which have direct access from Covenant Lane.

The primary purpose of the proposed swimming pool is to provide for swim tuition for children, and also suited for general exercise.

The proposed swimming pool and gym are proposed to be constructed in concrete panels with a metal skillion roof.

The swimming pool and the gym share changing, toilet and shower facilities.

The pool hall has been provided with extensive glazing to the street.
