Outcome

Background:

This Development Application seeks retrospective approval for a Transport Depot involving the following:

  • Parking of commercial vehicles and plant equipment used for the civil, construction and farming industries including:
    • 3 x Scania 6-wheel tippers;
    • 2 x JCB Dinosaur watercarts; and
    • 1 x telehandler
  • An area of existing hardstand approximately 7,383m2;
  • Vehicles will be parked on site and leased to civil contractors when required;
  • Minor repairs of the vehicles will be undertaken on site;
  • No fuel is to be stored on site other than a single drum of diesel for the farm equipment. All commercial vehicles are refuelled off site;
  • Up to a maximum of four people to be employed on site working Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm. The company is primarily a mobile company so the staff will generally be off site at work sites. The staff will however be required to work on the subject site occasionally and be able to pick and collect items for the trucks and machinery out on work sites.
