Why is the Shire preparing this revised LPP?
At the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale Ordinary Council Meeting on September 18 2023, Council resolved to modify Local Planning Policy 4.6 : Telecommunications Infrastructure to update clause 2.2 and to proceed to advertise in accordance with Clause 87 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.
What does the policy require of development?
This Policy addresses provision for telecommunications infrastructure within the Shire.
What are the potential benefits of this revised amendment?
Allow for additional infrastructure to be built for the development of 5G networks to meet customer and community need.
