Feedback survey has concluded.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the recent Little Voice Big Say community survey, along with the workshops and conversations.

The draft Needs and Gaps Analysis has been developed in response to your responses - that's the SJ community, including children, parents, grandparents, carers, and local service providers.

Your contributions have shaped this document and ensured it reflects the realities of families with children aged 0–11 in our Shire.

We are now sharing the draft Needs and Gaps Analysis with you and we invite you to read it before completing this short survey. This survey will take about 5 to 7 minutes to complete once you have read the draft.

It's your opportunity to tell us whether the priorities we’ve identified feel right, and whether anything important is missing. The Needs and Gaps Analysis will be used to draft the Children and Families Plan 2026–2030, guiding practical actions that make a difference for local families.

Before you start, please take a minute to familiarise yourself with the six needs contained in the draft:

Healthy (Playgrounds; Physical activity; Nutrition; Child and family health services; Child and family mental health support; Neurodiversity services; Children’s emotional regulation support; Disability services and support)

Material Basics (Affordable housing and cost‑of‑living support; Support for families experiencing disadvantage; Retail, hospitality and commerce; Public transport; Connected, coordinated, local support services)

Valued, Loved and Safe (Pedestrian paths, crossings, bike paths, car parking and roads; Supporting parents and caregivers; Family and domestic violence; Crime and anti‑social behaviour; Case management and support; Child safe environments)

Thank you for lending your voice to shaping a more inclusive, accessible, and supportive Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale! Your feedback helps shape how the Shire supports children aged 0-11 and the people who care for them.

By completing this survey you also have the chance to win one of three $50 supermarket gift cards voucher.

This survey will take about 10 minutes to complete.

You’re in control of what you share. Most questions are optional - if one isn’t right for you, simply skip it or tick ‘I’d prefer not to say’. The only required questions are: the suburb you live in, your role in caring for children aged 0–11, and how many children aged 0–11 live in your household. These help us understand needs in different parts of the Shire and compare experiences across different family situations. Your responses are anonymous unless you choose to leave your details at the end.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts!
