Food Security and Peri-Urban Agriculture Advisory Group

We're inviting passionate locals and industry experts to join a new Advisory Group shaping the future of food, agriculture and sustainability in the region.

The newly established Food Security and Peri-Urban Agriculture Advisory Group will bring together community members and industry experts to share advice and ideas with Council on how to support farming, improve access to fresh food, and plan for a sustainable future. It is also intended to support evidence-based decision making across a number of themes including land use planning, water access, economic diversification, supply chain sustainability and community health.

We're looking for people to represent the following sectors:

• Passionate community representative
• Education sector representative
• Local producer
• Local business
• Not for profit representative
• Regional economic development body

All expressions of interest submitted are confidential and will be presented to Council for selection.
