Background

The Shire has received a development application to extend the timeframe for when the development of a Solar Farm must be substantially commenced, by 6 months. The deadline for substantial commencement is proposed to be 7 June 2023 in lieu of 7 December 2022.

The Metro Outer Joint Development Assessment Panel will replace Council as the decision maker. The Shire will however be providing a recommendation to the panel.
