Draft Local Planning Policy (LPP) 4.22 - Development of Heritage Places and Areas - Jarrahdale Heritage Precinct

We are inviting your feedback on the draft Local Planning Policy 4.22, Development of Heritage Places and Areas – Jarrahdale Heritage Precinct.

Council first advertised the draft LPP in October 2024. Following substantial amendments arising from submissions, Council resolved on 8 December 2025 to re‑advertise the revised draft in accordance with the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.

The proposed draft policy aims to:

• Provide guidance on the assessment of heritage proposals for works affecting the heritage area
• Ensure that development conserves, protects and celebrates places of cultural heritage significance in Jarrahdale
• Provide improved certainty to landowners and the community about the planning processes for heritage places within the Jarrahdale Heritage Area; and
• Clarify the format and content of accompanying material in accordance with Clauses 63(1)(d) and 63(3), Schedule 2 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015
