The Shire has received a development application for which comments are sought regarding a proposed ‘Mixed Use’ development within the Byford Town Centre. The site is located at the corner of Blytheswood Avenue and South Western Highway.
The proposal primarily consists of a two-storey office and consulting room development with a semi-undercroft car parking area and enclosed landscaping. The development specifically includes the following:
Six (6) commercial tenancies across two levels, providing a total of 750m² leasable floor area
Fourteen (14) onsite car parking bays for staff and visitors, including one ACROD bay
Two on-street parking bays adjacent to the site
Bicycle facilities, including:
7 staff bicycle parking spaces in a secured storeroom
4 visitor bicycle parking spaces
End-of-trip facilities with lockers, a shower, and a change room for staff
Commercial bin store
The proposed building will feature timber batten sunscreens, vertical cladding on the upper floors and recycled brick on the ground floor as the main façade treatment
Vehicle access is proposed towards the western end of the lot via Quoin Lane/Blytheswood Avenue.
