Background
The Shire is proposing four (4) hour parking restrictions within the business area surrounding the future Byford Train Station.
These restrictions are proposed in an effort to deter train commuters from congesting parking bays which will be needed for customers accessing businesses within the area.
Parking is included in the design of the future station, however commuters will be charged a fee to use this on-site parking. This may lead to commuters congesting the adjacent business area bays in an effort to avoid the fee.
It is hoped the proposed four-hour restrictions will help maintain open parking spaces for those wishing to access businesses.
