Proposed Extractive Industry - Lot 6 and Lot 100, 26 Jarrahdale Road, Jarrahdale

Background

The Shire has received a development application for an Extractive Industry. Development approval was granted on 9 December 2013 on the subject site to extract sand for a period of five years. This approval has now expired and the new application seeks to extract the remaining resource and includes the following:-

• Extraction over approximately 7ha for a period of five years of a total approximate resource of 160,000 cubic metres:
• Maximum depth of excavation between 2 – 4 metres
• Approximately 7 laden truck movements per hour
• Hours of operation are proposed Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm excluding public holidays

Access would be taken via the existing crossover onto Jarrahdale Road.
