Development application for Proposed Gym, Office, Consulting Rooms, Shop, Café and Child Minding Centre

Outcome

At its November Meeting, Council approved the development application subject to conditions. To view the Council decision, visit the Shire's Agenda and Minutes page and view the November Council Meeting Minutes.

Background

The Shire has received a development application for an amendment to the approved abbatoir.

The amendment seeks to vary a condition of approval that states “No more than 100 tonnes of pet meat is to be processed per annum” to allow an annual output of 500 tonnes.

The proposal is aimed at building in operational efficiencies while utilising existing structures, staff numbers and truck movements. The operating days would however increase from two days a week to five days a week.
