Have your say on plans to shape West Mundijong’s industrial future
We’re inviting your feedback on a draft planning policy that will help guide future development in the West Mundijong Industrial Area.
At its meeting on 21 July 2025, Council resolved to advertise Draft Local Planning Policy 4.27: West Mundijong Industrial Area Guidelines, in line with the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.
The draft Policy aims to:
Support modern, well-designed industrial development that also improves the local environment through landscaping
Create a consistent look and feel for buildings and landscaping, while still allowing businesses to reflect their own identity
Avoid ad hoc development by encouraging thoughtful site planning and good design, including landscaping in car parks and setback areas
Make it clear when and how some site and development requirements in LPS3 may be varied
Support high-quality industrial development by offering flexible controls that meet the needs of business, without impacting surrounding rural and urban areas
Your feedback will help us finalise the guidelines and ensure they reflect both community and business needs.
Submissions close 5pm Friday 22 August. Submissions can be lodged in any of the following ways:
