Carers WA launch Inclusive Community Passport

Carers WA are looking to highlight inclusive businesses and services that young people with disability can engage with across Perth.

If you know a business with great inclusive practices you can let Carers WA know or ask the business to consider joining this initiative.

Carers WA are requesting expressions of interest for their latest project that will empower young people with disabilities to be more involved within the community.

The Inclusive Community Passport project will advertise community organisations, venues and activities that are welcoming, inclusive and support the needs of young people with disabilities.

For businesses to be suitable for this project they should:
• Accept Companion Cards
• Be an accessible venue
• Train staff in disability awareness
• Ensure staff are welcoming and supportive

Within the passport, each partner organisation will feature their logo, contact details, plus information on their inclusive programs.

If you would like to get involved or recommend a business, please contact Anthony Pyle on 0413 859 147 or email anthony.pyle@carerswa.asn.au
