Adams House is a family based service for Adults with Special Needs, where we aim to improve Adult Daily Living skills in a suburban family home environment.

Our programs are designed for Special Needs Adults hoping to commence living independently or for those who already do and are looking for continued Adult Daily Living skill development.

Our goal is to ensure our clients can build their Adult Daily Living skills, to promote independence and help to ensure they can have a good life. We achieve this through thoughtful daily activities that can be tailored to the individual.

We are keen to be flexible and adapt our approach to help meet goals and deliver what is suggested in individualised plans.

We want to be collegial and work in with the wider team and are happy to help implement therapeutic strategies and work closely with clinicians. We also have a dedicated private room available to assist in this regard.

We understand from lived experience, the NDIS always wants evidence highlighting abilities and needs, we are happy to add to this where appropriate.

We believe in being person centered, and the right to choice and control, we will take time to ensure our service is right for you, and we can help you work towards the goals that are important to you.

Adams House is a suburban home located in Brookdale. A typical day at Adam's House will involve a lot of fun while developing Adult Daily Living skills.

Participants will learn to cook basic meals, bring laundry to do, grow vegetables, feed chickens and collect eggs all within a social environment with other participants.

All general household chores are covered with many scheduled breaks for fun and rest time.

Our programs are designed to assist participants in achieving their NDIS goals and outcomes including:

• Development of Daily Living and Life Skills;

• Community Participation Activities;

• Individual Social Skills Development; and

• Community Engagement Assistance.

Adams House also includes rooms dedicated to Arts and Craft Activities, Pottery Wheel, Exercise Equipment, Television, Quiet Spaces with a private room available for individual therapist and other specialist appointments.

Adams House and our participants are managed by Jason and Tracey, who are proud parents of five adult children, including one with Special Needs. Tracey is an Enrolled Nurse and we both have National Police and Working with Children Clearances. We have completed the NDIS Worker Screening Check.
